    1. That is exactly how I feel about my son having Asperger's. Without it, he would be someone totally different and I love him the way he is. I could not imagine him not being his wonderful self!

  6. I can go to the edge of the cliff and where others will fall, I find the answers to the problem.

When I rage it is because the answers don't come fast enough, and I am booting up to a higher level of thinking and problem solving. Then the complex becomes the trivial.

Needless things I can figure out. Relationships elude me. I hope when I die God will spend a lot of time with me talking about what others find boring.

    1. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing! It just now gave me even more insight into how my son probably sees things.

I'm sure that God will, just as he listens unconditionally to you now. I hope that you have a wonderful week. Thanks again, Stephanie

    2. Finding out I had AS Disorder explained a lot about my life. I still go into mass obsession and focus on things. I have hoped with age that the Aspergers would let up a bit.

Just love your son and try and comfort him when he is ramping. My wife is really good at that with me. It becomes a source of comfort.

  8. Such a relief to know that I am not weird... For me being as Aspie means that I finally understand why everybody else is so strange. Finally understanding who I really am at 48.

    1. I understand what you mean. I have had Sensory Ingegration Disorder all of my life and honestly thought that I was made wrong or just "too sensitive". I am now 45 and found out I had SID when going through the process of getting my son diagnosed a few years ago. I look at getting a diagnosis as a positive thing... now you know why and what you can do from here on out.

    1. I have learned SOOO much about life from my 12 year old son with Aspergers. I would not change him. I just want to help him and to most definitely help others to understand and accept. Some extremely important people to our world as a whole would be diagnosed with ASD.
